You think of the great Dale Earnhardt and there’s hardly any car, track, or a challenge that comes to mind that he wouldn’t have conquered. That’s how great the man was. However, imagine putting him in a modern-day simulator. Can’t imagine how he would react? Well, Dale Earnhardt Jr. is here to save the day.
In a recent segment of the Ask Jr. section of his podcast, the NASCAR Hall of Famer revealed how his father would’ve reacted if he was put in a simulator.
“I think since simulators are so prevalent…dad would without a doubt, try it. He would do it in a way, no one would know,” Dale Jr. said. “He would show up at 9 o’clock at night, when everybody was gone and had some guy waiting there to turn it on and put him in there.”
“This is a guy that used to ride bicycles backwards on a handlebar but he wouldn’t want anybody watching him drive a simulator. And then he would probably do it, never do it again,” he continued.
“Then he would get out and continue to complain about them and what a waste of time they are.”

Dale Earnhardt Jr clarifies the recent comparisons of Joey Logano with his father
During the recent race at Darlington, Joey Logano bumped William Byron out of the way in the last laps to take the win. Now, this was something that half of the NASCAR community criticized, while the other half reasoned it to be something that even the great Dale Earnhardt did/would’ve done. Pure hard racing.
However, Earnhardt Jr doesn’t think so.
In fact, he had some advice for Logano and what he should’ve done instead of putting on his usual smiley face and justifying what he did with an excuse of a ‘payback job’.

“I think if Joey would get out and say, ‘Hey man. I’m here to kick ass. I’m sorry. Sorry, it was you, William, you’re next. You’re between me and the trophy,’” Dale Jr. said.
“Own it. Outright freakin’ own it. Because that’s who he is.”
